Extended ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ “Rogue Cut” Arrives Summer 2015

Variety reports that the “Rogue Cut” will feature “more than 10 minutes of extra footage,” including not only Rogue’s scenes, but “sequences involving other characters, as well.”

Kinberg said,

We’ve known that Paquin’s scenes were cut because the film was already plot-heavy, and Kinberg says her stuff “didn’t fit” with the film as we saw it, especially thanks to its heavy focus on Xavier.

It’s a big chunk, a substantial part of the movie. We want to give (fans) the fullest picture of the film — behind the camera, and in front of it. … Every movie has scenes that are cut out, but not every movie has scenes cut out with such a beloved character.

Last year, director Bryan Singer said,

It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go.
