‘300: Rise Of An Empire’ Poster: It’s Raining, Men By Angie Han/April 17, 2013 10:00 am EST Hot on the heels of the enthusiastically received new trailer for Man of Steel, Zack Snyder has offered a little taste of another of his upcoming projects. The filmmaker took to Twitter to reveal the first poster for 300: Rise of an Empire, the long-awaited sequel to his 2006 comic book adaptation 300. Noam Murro (Smart People) takes over in the director’s chair this time around, while Snyder serves as co-writer and producer....

‘Dredd’ Sequel Talk Was “Blown Out Of Proportion,” Says Producer By Angie Han/May 2, 2014 2:00 pm EST That the first Dredd was a big fat flop at the box office hasn’t stopped its fans from clamoring for a sequel. And star Karl Urban has been all too happy to keep hope alive, promoting petitions and teasing conversations with the studio. But don’t start lining up for tickets just yet. ‘Kings Of Summer’ Red-Band Trailer By Russ Fischer/May 20, 2013 9:54 am EST This new red-band trailer for The Kings of Summer, from Jordan Vogt-Roberts, does a much better job of capturing the movie’s character, humor, and adolescent unease than the first trailer did. In fact, this is the look at the film that audiences should have had in the first place. Nick Robinson, Gabriel Basso, and Moises Arias play three kids who take off into the woods to build their own house over the course of a summer, while Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, and Alison Brie play family of a couple of the kids, and actors like Kumail Nanjiani, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and Hannibal Buress show up in comic supporting roles....

‘Kon-Tiki’ Trailer: Norway’s Oscar Nominee Is About An Oscar Winner By Angie Han/Feb. 24, 2013 1:00 pm EST Life of Pi isn’t the only waterlogged nominee at this year’s Academy Awards. Norway’s entry in the foreign film category, Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg’s Kon-Tiki, tells the true tale of Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl (played by Pål Sverre Hagen). In 1947, Heyerdahl undertook a 101-day, 4,300-mile journey from Peru to Polynesia on a balsa wood raft as part of an effort to prove that Easter Island could have been settled by South Americans....

Indiana Jones 4 Goes To Area 51? By Peter Sciretta/June 12, 2007 10:33 am EST The Deming Headlight newspaper is reporting that Indiana Jones production crew is prepping an area near the town’s Deming Municipal Airport for filming. The former WWII training base has been painted blue and now sports a United States Air Force Insignia with the underlying slogan “Home of the Fighter Pilot.” While the paper claims that parts of the area will stand-in for Morocco, IGN has looked further into the whole “Home of the Fighter Pilot” thing and have learned that the slogan actually belongs to Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, which is adjacent to the top secret Area 51....
