Paramount Picking Up Martin Scorsese’s ‘Silence’ By Russ Fischer/July 14, 2014 2:45 pm EST Paramount Pictures, which released The Wolf of Wall Street last year, is now in talks to pick up US rights to the next Martin Scorsese film, Silence. Assuming the deal goes through, Silence would be released late next year, in November 2015. That would prime it for awards season, and a release window that is pretty much exactly what we’d expect to see for a film like this....

It’s R2-D2, the blue astromech droid purchased by Luke Skywalker on Tatooine so many years ago, which also so happened to be Luke’s mother’s favorite droid years before that. The Bad Robot twitter feed posted an image of R2 with Episode VII director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy last week, but today not only confirmed he’ll be in the film, they revealed he was built by two fans, Lee Towersey and Oliver Steeples, who met Kennedy at a Star Wars Celebration....

Robert Redford Finally Taking A Walk In The Woods By Hunter Stephenson/Jan. 27, 2008 7:02 pm EST After mentioning it in various interviews over the years, Robert Redford has announced that his adaptation of Bill Bryson’s nonfiction bestseller A Walk in the Woods will be his next project, with director Barry Levinson said to be on board as well.
